Privacy policy

Talous (“Talous”, “we”, “us”) is an advertising-operations platform operated by Edge Point. We help advertisers and marketing agencies manage and optimise their advertising campaigns. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and the requirements of the advertising platforms we connect to.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers: (a) people who use Talous (our customers and their team members); (b) the advertising-account data our customers connect to Talous; and (c) individuals who submit a lead form on an advertising platform (such as a Meta Instant Form) belonging to one of our customers, where we process that submission on the customer’s behalf.

Data we process

• Account & profile data. Name, email address, and authentication details for people who sign in to Talous, used to operate and secure their account.
• Advertising-account data. When a customer connects an advertising account (for example, via the Meta Marketing API), we access campaign, ad set, ad, creative, budget, and performance data for the accounts they authorise, to monitor and optimise their campaigns.
• Lead-form data. When a customer runs lead-generation ads, we may retrieve the information that individuals submit through the platform’s lead forms (for example, name, email address, and phone number) so we can deliver those leads to the customer. We process this data on behalf of the customer, who is responsible for how the leads are used.

How we use data

• To provide, secure, and operate the Talous platform.
• To monitor advertising performance and generate optimisation recommendations.
• To create, pause, adjust, and report on advertising campaigns at our customers’ direction.
• To deliver lead-form submissions to the customer who collected them.
• To meet legal, regulatory, and platform-policy obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use lead-form data for our own marketing.

Advertising platforms (including Meta)

Talous integrates with advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram). When you connect an account, we exchange data with that platform under its API terms and your authorisation, and only for the accounts you grant access to. The platform’s own privacy policy also applies to data it holds. You can revoke Talous’s access at any time from the platform’s business settings, which stops further data exchange.

Sharing and disclosure

We share data only with: (a) the customer on whose behalf we process it; (b) the advertising platforms required to deliver the service; (c) service providers (such as hosting) bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms; and (d) authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Lead-form data is retained on behalf of the customer and deleted on the customer’s instruction or when no longer required.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or limit certain processing. If you submitted a lead form to one of our customers, that customer is the primary controller of your data; we will forward deletion requests to them and assist as required. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and the principle of least privilege. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Children

Talous is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
